A decision. A baby shower. An anniversary celebration!

I didn't realize just how long it had been since I last blogged. Time flies by these days... My "decision" this weekend is that I am going to book up to 12 weddings over the next year - I said I would never do it, but never say never right? I love the magic of weddings and how beautiful every bride is on her special day. So.....I am looking for 12 couples to shoot over the next year who are having small, intimate ceremonies where I can capture their hearts and special moments.

A baby shower. I had the pleasure of spending most of my Saturday with an amazing family who have amazing friends. Baby Kyla is definitely going to be surrounded by much love!




A 50th anniversary. One of the things I love about capturing events is the great people God places in my path. The Carden family is definitely one of those amazing gifts. Bo and Pat are an inspiring couple and it is apparent by the outpouring of friends and family who joined the celebration on Sunday.






A few weeks ago, I captured one of my favorite friends from Chick-fil-A and her beautiful family....Here are a few shots from that day.

So, I have lived in or near Fayetteville for over 30 years and today was the first time I visited Turnipseed Nursery. It was like finding the Secret Garden! Add one beautiful family and it made for an amazing morning! On a technical note, I love my new lens!!!! I got some incredibly artistic shots this am!

This weekend Caleb turned four and what a celebration! From the jump house to the face painter to the Little Red Barn Petting Zoo, there was not shortage of fun activities for the kiddos (and adults :)). I had a blast capturing this special day, and Caleb is absolutely one of the greatest four year olds I have ever met. I could hang out with him for days!

Taking time out to play...

In the midst of a pretty busy week, it is always fun to take time out to "play". Today, I spent a few precious hours away from the office and away from the Southwest to capture six beautiful children just doing what they do best...being kids and playing...Thanks to the McFaddin and Bradner families! Here are a few of my favorites.....

Two birthday parties, a wedding, Addyson and one great family!

So, when it rains it pours...and we are all too familiar with that lately here in Georgia. Well, this weekend not only brought the rain, it brought five amazing opportunities for me to spend time with great people.

I started the weekend off with Cooper Grace's first birthday party. Can anyone say "CAKE"....check out the picture below :) .... and that is all I need to say about Cooper Grace. I do love spending time photographing the Mason family. Next, off to the Ohde's . I am so blessed to work with amazing people at Chick-fil-A, but to also have the pleasure to spend time with their families is an added bonus! It isn't hard to take great pictures when you have such FANTASTIC subjects. Finish up the day, with my favorite little Addy girl and the day was complete.

It is amazing how beautiful brides are and this one had a special sparkle in her eye. Janelle and Jim were the cutest couple and I enjoyed every minute I spent capturing their special day. From one celebration to the next.....It was a Princess Day for Alex on her 4th birthday and there were no boys allowed! There were so many pretty princesses and even Cinderella made an appearance.

Happy 4th Birthday Natalie!

I am amazed at how creative Mom's have gotten for birthday parties.   My mom was great at throwing a party, but they were much different...pools, barbie cakes, friends, spend-the-night parties, etc.  Now, it's all about the theme!  Reptile, Western, Princess, etc.... I LOVE IT and it makes for AMAZING photos. Saturday was Natalie's fourth birthday and she LOVES horses so her mom planned the perfect day on a farm equipped with horses, a camp fire, roasted hot dogs and even smores!  It was a blast....

One weekend, five families and one BIG event!

It was cold outside, but all of my families were tough and braved the cold weather for their family photos. Friday, I spent the afternoon with my precious friend Kerry and her beautiful son Jack on his 1st birthday. Then, Saturday was crazy day...I started at 9:30 and finally pulled in the driveway at 4:45! (Thanks to the White, Baro, Stanelle, Tucker and Mason families!) But when you are doing what you love, you don't even notice the time or how exhausted you are until you hit the bed :) Sunday morning up again and on to the Harkin family with their two puppies....Sunday afternoon was the Children's Holiday Party at the Four Seasons Hotel and it was so fun! Great kids and Great Pictures! What I learned this weekend was large groups and puppies can be challenging, but if I act cool and calm then they do too!
